It has been three years since the fabled Dragonborn had slain Alduin, the World-Eater. Alduin's death has spared the world from being thrown into chaos, but it did not signal the end for the other crises plaguing Skyrim. Alduin's death has done nothing for the abundance of werewolves and vampires-- and the guilds dedicated to eradicating these monsters. Bandits still patrol caravan routes and crossroads. The Forsworn's presence has diminished, but they are far from being wiped out. The Dark Brotherhood has, apparently, been restored. All of these and more are still afflicting the realm of Skyrim.. but it doesn't end there. Rumours of old cults are spreading. The Daedric Princes are returning- or so folk say. The majority of the public are tired- or afraid of hearing these stories, and thus far have claimed these tales are little more than stories told by tavern drunkards. While there are no distinct signs that any one of the Princes have returned, the fear is a sign, on its own. It is only a matter of time for a Prince to reclaim their full power, and to reward those who serve them. Believe it or not, the land of Skyrim is accursed.
