Hair Color/Style - Long black hair kept up in a tight bun
Eye Color(s) - Green eyes
Skin Tone - Light peach
Scars - Small scars dance along her body. She has a skull shaped scar on her chest where her heart lies.
Piercings - Ears pierced once on the lower lobes; the earrings are made of gold, and have embedded rubies
Tattoos - Viola has the Dark Brotherhood symbol tattooed on her upper right arm
Other - AGrand Soul Gem embedded between her breasts.
Viola dons the Dark Brotherhood outfit - Ancient Shrouded Armor (Increases Poison Resistance by 100%), Ancient Shrouded Boots (Wearer is muffled and moves silently), Ancient Shrouded Cowl (Bows do 35% more damage) and Ancient Shrouded Gloves (Double sneak attack damage with one-handed weapons). She wears the Amulet of Articulation (Fortifies Persuasion and Speech). She has a Grand Soul Gem embedded in her chest.
During one of those rare moments when she's mingling with the normal people, she adores her golden-trim embellished robes with simple shoes. She has a case filled with non-enchanted jewellry to decorate her hair, ears, neck, fingers and wrists.
Likes - Viola enjoys fighting though she doesn't do a lot of field work since becoming the host of the Night Mother. She's a fan of lutes, reading history, sailing her arrow into someone's back, honey-dipped everything and the winter season. Her favorite foods are grilled fish, buttered bread, beef stew, peasant roast and spiced beef. Likewise, she prefers the taste of Balmora Blue, Mead with Juniper Berry, Velvet LeChance, Colovian Brandy and White-Gold Tower. She favors the bow, and has a collection of normal and enchanted ones set up in her room. Viola enjoys using her sexuality to her advantage.
Dislikes - She extremely dislikes the heat, sun and anything to do with spring and summer (if you want to give her flowers, don't. She's allergic). Viola hates cheap ale, terrible food, bastards who just won't die, weak ingredients and goodie-goodie people. Those who serve the Divine Nine deserve a place beneath her boot. She refuses to wear any clothing that's simple, plain, and not fashionable in the least bit.
Strengths - As a member of the Dark Brotherhood and the vessel for the Night Mother, Viola has taken the leadership position of tough love; her list of responsibilities include locating clients, delivering messages, and executing her enemies. A straightforward, independent, ambitious and persuasive woman, Viola will defend the Dark Brotherhood until her dying breath. There's been times when she's had to take her dagger to a member's throat for betrayal, and that's her least favorite part of the job.
Weaknesses - In contrast, Viola is not a patient person. She comes across as short-sighted, undisciplined, rude and aggressive with a loud mouth and crude humor. She's not the ideal person for seeking comfort though she's an excellent secret keeper! It's surprising how she became the ninth vessel.
Fears - She ultimately fears that her soul will be consumed by the Night Mother, and she will exist no more. Viola has heard a rumor that the Galkevicius family continues to search for her in redemption for the deceased son.
Secrets - Viola cannot tell anyone that she cannot cast magic due to her soul stabilizing with the Night Mother's which will take another six months to do so. She fantasizes about ruling Skyrim as its High Queen and the idea of marrying.
Battle Cry - "For Sithis!"
Worships - Sithis
Viola has a cocky personality, but the skills to back up her claim. She's sadistic, adventurous, and has a terrible sense of humor. It's not wise to double cross her as you'll have an arrow in your back before dawn. She's not the host for the Night Mother for her kill count; she follows through every mission like it's her last, collects the info, bounty, kill - you name it, she can get it. Though she's not the person you would find yourself confiding in, Viola is understanding, and tries to comfort to the best of her abilities (though, quite honestly, she doesn't know how to properly comfort a person and ends up telling a terrible joke).
She's protective of the Dark Brotherhood, and will eliminate anyone who attempts to murder her kind. Viola doesn't have a great deal of patience, and actually angering her takes some skill in itself. She becomes clumsy, misjudges and seeks to tear the heart out of her enemy. As such, meditation is key which is required daily especially for heavier tasks such as assassinations and strategy planning. Both the Night Mother and Viola plan several steps ahead of their enemies such as planning rumors that the Dark Brotherhood currently residing in Falkreath rather than the Dawnstar Sanctuary. The amount of clients matches the enemies, and keeping tabs on possible threats.
She's heard rumors of a Dragonborn, and is pulling favors to pinpoint a location in order to recruit him or her into the Dark Brotherhood ranks.
There will always be a Night Mother. While her original body has long since shriveled, and the corpse hidden in the coffin deep inside the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary, the Night Mother continues to live on through her daughters. Every twenty five years, she takes a new vessel from a willing participant who has proven herself worthy of the Night Mother's love. The two souls occupy the same body, and it is unknown if they merge or if the Night Mother kills the host's soul. Either way, the Dark Brotherhood will always have a Night Mother to help guide her children into the shadows.
The wife of Sithis and murderer of her own children, the Night Mother was born in the Second Era. A powerful Redguard woman in her own right, she departed from the Morag Tong, and formed the Dark Brotherhood. She herself is a being shrouded in mystery as she is able to communicate with a person deemed her Listener even after her death. For many decades, she 'lived' as an inanimate corpse until the events in Bravil forced her to travel to Skyrim. Tired of her life as a mere corpse to be lugged around, the Night Mother had her Listener and Keeper search for a way for her to occupy a body. Using a mixture of Necromancy, Conjuration and Restoration, the Night Mother is able to live once more.
Viola Arteilius is the ninth host of the Night Mother. A cocky woman whose words can match her skills with a bow, Viola has no problem personally escorting you to an early grave. The fourth child to a noble woman who slept around, Viola has no idea who her real father is, and doesn't care to know. She spent her early years receiving a proper education, and had taken to the tales of the fabled Gray Fox in Cyrodiil. Wanting to be a thief herself, she began hanging around the 'common rabble' as her mother would say who taught her how to pickpocket, sneak and steal effectively. Glorious childhood days ended on the day before her wedding.
Viola's arrange marriage to a Sebastian Galkevicius ended in tragedy. At the age of 19, she was expected to marry and bear the heir to this established family in Solitude, but Viola did not care for that. She sought the thrill of a steal rather than the bedroom. Wanting to merely paralyze her fiance, Viola added a bit of the potion to his drink during their reception. When Sebastian fell, and a guard said there was no pulse, Viola escaped for fear of imprisonment. Snatching her long bow and a handful of coins, arrows and a knapsack of clothes, Viola escaped into the night before the palace guards could be alerted of the murderer.
The one thing she could not deny though was the thrill killing her fiance gave her. Watching as his body twitched when the poison absorbed into his body before he fell unto the cold stone tiles gave her the excitement that stealing could not. For the first time in her life, she feared what this pleasure adrenaline granted her.
On her way to Riften where rumors of the Thieves Guild laid, Viola tried to curb the growing need to kill. With her trusty bow and a quiver of arrows, she hunted the wild animals for food, but this only helped a little. Occasionally when a rogue or brute attacked her, she would climb the towering rocks and trees to gain the high advantage before shooting them. Once at Riften, she put her sneak skills to good use, and managed to learn a few things about the Guild before approaching a member inquiring about membership. After a trial to test her skills, Viola became a member of the Thieves Guild for roughly three years. There, she learned one-handed skills and increased her sneak skills. Unlike her childhood self, she sucks at pickpocketing and lockpicking (she'd rather bust the door down in all honesty).
Her lucky run ended when she murdered a member of the Black-Briar family during a simple info gathering. By then, Viola was unable to control her urges no matter how large the prey she hunted or the bounties she collected. Rather than be put to death, Viola used her thief abilities to escape and hide, somehow ending up at the Abandon Shack to claim a few hours of sleep. Unknowingly, the Dark Brotherhood was aware of her location, and used it to their advantage by putting her through their own trial. Succeeding, she entered the sanction of the Dark Brotherhood who continue to protect her against the Black-Briar family.
Years passed, and Viola bloomed under the guidance of the other Dark Brotherhood members. Mastering archery, increasing and learning more skills, Viola was chosen to be the next vessel for the Night Mother. Willingly, Viola accepted the position, and became the ninth host for the Night Mother. She's the one who retrieves the new recruits, tests them, and digs the graves of the unworthy.
For traveling, she uses the sibling of Shadowmere, Nightstalker. Nightstalker's heavy coat is a shade of dark gray with rusted red colored bridal, saddle and breastcollar. Unlike Shadowmere, Nightstalker's eyes are not red, but black. When not in use, she keeps Nightstalker in a small built stable outside the sanctuary. Nightstalker is able to attack on his own.

History
Sweet mother, sweet mother, send your child unto me, for the sins of the unworthy must be baptised in blood and fear.
